What the Myers-Briggs has to say about Maxienne Robey - How compatible are we?

Considering the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is so long-established you’d think I would have gotten around to it by now

Whenever I see the personality types splashed across someone’s bio, the mishmash of letters washes over me and offers no insight at a glance. I cannot be the only who doesn’t have all 16 acronyms memorized off the top of my head. It just seemed like astrology for LinkedIn power users. I’m still not convinced it isn’t but its a fun thought experiment regardless!

I took the 16 Personalities test. The fact that its free is great for the obivious reasons, but the price also leads me to believe more people have taken this version so we are all being graded on the same curve, making it more socially relevant. I am basing this assumption on absolutely nothing but my own logic, so do your own research.

And let me tell you: They got my ass

They absolutely nailed all of my strengths and weaknesses to a tee. I was pretty miffed that my entire personhood could be so accurately called out by an online quiz…that is, until I read my type was one of the rarest.

“Charismatic“ and “confident“ “ambitious“ and “optimized“- Myers-Briggs are you flirting with me?!

ENTJ stands for Extraverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, and Judging. Apparently, we are only 1.8% of the population, which officially certifies me as a One-in-Several-Billion kinda girl. My ego is now fully erect after being so masterfully stroked! With a history of being called “bossy“ as a child, (a word generally reserved for little girls, not boys…) and my years spent in the Pro Domme trenches as an adult, I cannot say I’m shocked by the results.

Are we compatible…?

Based on my research, I am best paired with a INTP (Introverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, Perceiving), which I interpret as an introvert with a vivid inner world and strong sense of self, the latter being very important to me. Some of the readings implied I would prefer a partner I could walk all over, but that would be a massive turn off that would bore me very quickly. I do like quiet men, but not ones with no back bone or point of view. You really need to have your own thing going on. Dating me cannot be the most interesting thing about you.

I am most attracted to people who can match my creativity and intelligence but are secure enough that they don’t have a need to display it at all times. Nothing gets me hotter and more googly-eyed than a man who I can tell is like 5% smarter than me and shares his unique brain without being condescending. I like someone who has a different perspective and isn’t afraid to reign me in when needed without trying to control me. There is a difference between keeping me grounded and tethered to the earth vs keeping me tied down and restricted.

Think the lovingly sardonic professor daddy type with elbow patches on his corderoy jacket. That will get me every time.

As far as in the bedroom, “ENTJs as lovers are energetic and driven to inspire their partner…Sexually, they are equally enthusiastic and imaginative, often surprising their partners with novelties in the lovemaking arena.” ***

ACCURATE

In conclusion, because I was given a flattering result, I now consider the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator 100% fact-based and not at all a kitschy pseudoscience rolled over from the 1920’s. I take back everything I said about “LinkedIn Astrology”.
